Typical training for RNA-Seq or microarrays data analysis lets you reproduce a set of tasks with a tailored demo that you can do it smoothly. However, it is not the way to develop your analytical skills. True analytical skills are the ability to understand the characteristics of the data, to select and apply the appropriate methods flexibly, and to try to do so by trial and error. You can't obtain such a skill after just one session. You will experience analyzing about ten data sets through three sessions to get used to making proper decisions by yourself. Even after them, you can take a session anytime when you meet a data set that you haven't seen.

Subio training will teach you how to import the data you want to analyze and how to use visualization tools to understand the characteristics of the data. Then, by explaining the features of each method and experiencing the trial-and-error process of figuring out which tool is appropriate to use, you will be able to acquire practical skills. The content is flexible to meet your needs but often includes the following. The troubleshooting on importing FASTQ and BAM files is out of scope. It can also include more extensive content such as retrieving and using the biological data you need from various databases, using web tools to complement the functionality of the Subio Platform, and comparing your results with data from other researchers.

Conditions of attendance

• The training is only for plug-in purchasers. Please take it within 30 days or one year from the plug-in purchase according to the license period. After that, your eligibility for the training will also expire.
• Make sure in advance that you can participate in the web conference from a computer with a Subio Platform installed.
• The training time is up to three hours, including breaks.
• The maximum number of participants is three.
• You can record it for later review.

This is a totally private course, so we can discuss about the program in advance to make it fit your purpose. We also can set the program using the confidential datasets which you cannot bring it out from the lab. The training time is six hours per day, including breaks. There is no limit to the number of attendees.
