It is cheaper than GeneSpring, and is comfortable than R with Bioconductor. Because Subio Platform is free, I only need one set of plug-in licenses and bring the data to other PCs like one at home. I like easy importing/exporting gene lists from/to Excel, because Subio Platform automatically converts various identifiers. I also like its flexibility of customization. It visually shows how the data are processed, so I can find how to deal it. It's very helpful especially when there are problems on data.
Maybe GeneSpring can handle Agilent's catalog microarray data more easily, but I don't think it matters really.

It's not free, but you know that free software without GUI is not cheap in total. The sophisticated GUI reduces operation and learning cost a lot.
